here i'm again, this time in izmir. i've made my way to antalya last week on friday and from there i took the bus to izmir, it were 10 nice hours in the bus, not, but okay, i've got here all by myself. and i'm staying here already all week, it couldnt be worse than it is now, actually the whole family is cool, but just i have a problem with my mother in law.. but yeah who doesnt ;) again i can see the differences in our culture perfectly clear. in the netherlands man and woman are both equal, as far as i can tell, but here in turkey really they dont know the word emancipation. "mother" is working all day in home, but not normal, no, more like a special cleaning edition of superman.. and "father" he drives the car occasionally if we need to be somewhere.. i made my boyfriend perfectly clear that this is not the way my life is gonna be, at first, because of his mothers comments, he was shocked haha, but after a serious talk he understands very good how to live your life in this century. so we dont have any problems now, but his mother not seems to understand this and try to work me out of here, well unfortunately for her, i dont care, neither does ilker.. :) we've seen our dear friend blondie, who lives not so far from here, this was my best day so far. and we've been to the hospital many times, not for me, dont worry, but there i spend also many hours, and yeah that was about it. we've had many moments that we wanted to go from here, because of mother. but we decided to stay here with christmas, and then go to alanya to celebrate there new years eve with our friends.
